Extended Access

There are now Extended Access appointments for routine care available at Park Surgery, One Life.  Appointments are provided by Central Middlesbrough PCN and are available Monday to Friday 6pm - 8pm and Saturday 9am - 5pm.  If you would like to book one of these appointments please speak to a receptionist.

NHS services across the North East & North Cumbria Region are experiencing extremely high demand at the moment – this includes GP practices and the 111 service which are both extremely busy.

If you need advice for a minor/mild illness or injury, in the first instance, please either contact your local pharmacy for help or look at the self-care advice that’s available on-line from the NHS at www.nhs.uk

To check your symptoms, there is an on-line symptom checker available at 111.nhs.uk, which will re-direct you to a health professional if you need to be consulted by someone.

If the surgery is closed and you require urgent medical assistance which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please ring 111.

Calls to NHS 111 are free from both landlines and mobiles.

If you have a life threatening medical emergency, please dial 999

Veteran Friendly Accreditation

Veterans

At Martonside Medical Centre we’re proud to support our Armed Forces community as an accredited Veteran Friendly GP Practice.

There are nearly 1,100 accredited practices in England, helping to support over 2.2 million veterans in England. Studies suggest veterans may be less likely to seek help if they feel their healthcare professional won’t understand their health needs.

Veteran Friendly accreditation provides important reassurance that a practice understands veterans health needs and can support them.

Additionally, If you or someone you know are experiencing Mental Health difficulties you can access help from the NHS Veterans' Mental Health Transition, Intervention and Liaison Service (TILS). This service provides a range of treatments, from recognising early signs of mental health problems to therapeutic treatments for more complex mental health difficulties.
